I love California

We have been doing a pretty good amount of exploring since we've been here. We went to Venice Beach the other day with Vince which is a very interesting place. The people watching alone is worth the visit. Then Brian and I went exploring around Mullholland Dr. yesterday. We got to get a lot closer to the Hollywood sign and we got to get a great view of our new city and all its smog. Today we went down to San Diego. It was absolutely gorgeous. There were huge homes and really pretty beaches. We started off at a car show and later tried to go to one of its beautiful beaches. Unfortunately by the time we got out of the car show everyone had made their way to the beach and took all the parking spots. Next time we are going much earlier!
Tomorrow is a big day. I meet with my first photographer to try and get some assisting work. I'll let you all know how that goes soon.

Sunny California

Sorry I haven't updated this in awhile. We just got the internet the other day and i have been very busy exploring my new city. So far we have gone to Santa Monica beach with Mary Francis and Scott, Malibu beach, and today we went to Venice beach with Vince. They all have been a lot of fun. I am loving living here so far. I'm even starting to get used to the helicopters at night. Our apartment is coming together nicely and I'm starting to here back about jobs which is awesome.  Today is also my 1 year anniversary with my amazing girlfriend Steph who I am missing like crazy. Only 14 more days tills she comes to visit! I'll try and be better about updating this now that we have the internet.

We made it!

We made it and we're all moved in. I'm way to tired to write much tonight but I will say that everything is amazing here and it was 115 degree driving through the desert. Here are a few pictures. Much more to come tomorrow.

Texas/New Mexico/Arizona

Sorry i didn't get to update yesterday our crappy motel room didn't have wi-fi. So yesterday we woke up to an amazing day in Texas. The weather was great and the drive was easy minus Brian flat tire. We got to ride down the old rt. 66 and do a lot of shooting. We also ate at a saloon. We ended up making it all the way to Gallup, New Mexico right near the border of Arizona. Then this morning we drove to the Grand Canyon. The day started out with great weather and beautiful scenery. Then it got hot I mean 105 degrees hot. We ended up getting lost in the desert trying to find the Grand Canyon. We finally made it after almost dying of heat exhaustion. Once we got there it made it all better. The Grand Canyon is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. We were able to get really close to the edge and got to take a lot of pictures. After a really really long day we finally made to Flagstaff, Arizona. Tomorrow we'll be heading to Barstow, California. Then LA on friday!!!! Ok I'm so burnt out and really need sleep. I hope this blog made sense.

Everything is bigger in texas

Brian and I woke up today in our sketchy motel room and opened the door to get slapped in the face with 100 degree heat. We then drove to Tulsa to have lunch with Trina Fimple, she treated us to a great mexican meal. Tulsa was so hot but it was really nice to be able to walk around and take pictures. A few hours later we made it into Texas. It was so beautiful there were lighting storms all around us and a really great sunset. Tomorrow we are going to the cadillac ranch and a bunch of other sites. We'll be staying in Albuquerque tomorrow night which is less than 300 miles so we should get to explore more. Till tomorrow over and out.

The bible belt

Wow another day loooong day. We drove another 500+ miles again today. Getting kind of exhausted. We are staying at shady motel in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Tomorrow we'll be traveling through Oklahoma and into Texas.
Driving through Tennessee was not much fun. We ran into traffic for the first time in our trip and it was about 95 degrees and very very muggy but once we got into to Arkansas we got a little rain which cooled it down to about 75. Arkansas was a really easy drive because it is super flat and full of farm land. It was the first place we were actually able to stop and take some pictures .

Nashville

Hello from nashville! Brian and I drove over 500 miles today through Virginia and Tennessee. We are staying at Felicia's which has been great. We went to PF Changs to visit her friend Faith and got a ton of awesome chinese food. Then went swimming for a few hours. It was a great way to finish a long day of driving. Tomorrow we'll be going through RRkansas which should be as exciting as Tennessee. hopefully they'll have as many 100 ft crosses as Tennessee does. Till tomorrow over and out.
